Online Course
The Cloud Hidden Online Course is the foundational course in the practice of tea. A way of stepping into Cloud Hidden's path of training from anywhere in the world, at your own pace.
The course is not about how to make tea. It is about what happens to us when we give ourselves over to the process of tea. The transformation, the shift in how we see the world, others, and ourselves. The brewing, the bowls, the kettles: these are the practical work. The deeper work is contemplative.

The course walks a mountain journey. The same arc the Six-Day Mentorship walks, taught here at a slower pace, in a form you can return to over the years.
A mountain journey,
taught slowly.
Foundations and welcome
The opening of the course. A meditation on impermanence as gift. The two meanings of the name Cloud Hidden. What it means to say tea is love, made visible. Samuel's own story of how tea found him. How to use the course at your own pace.
The decision to step away
Crossing the threshold of the practice. The daily choice to come back to a kettle, a bowl, a breath. The unforced rhythms of grace.
Seeing with new eyes
The hidden cost of the word "just." How reverence arrives when we remember. One encounter, one moment.
Stillness, simplicity, and the four virtues
What we receive when the mind quiets. The four virtues of tea coined by Rikyu. Simplicity as a deeper kind of richness. The freedom found inside form.
Service, not performance
Carrying the practice into the world. Heart first, then skill. The quiet ways ego can hijack service, and how to keep returning to the work.
The craft of tea
Tea in the hands. The basics mastered. The moment of seeing the person across the table. Brewing as a relationship. Hosting, cleaning up, caring for the teapot.
Tea as a way of being
The daily return. The lowness of the ocean. Staying near the source. A whole-life practice.
