LEVEL 1: Immersion

A full-day introduction to the foundations of tea practice. This program is suitable for beginners and experienced practitioners alike. It can be taken as a standalone experience or as the required prerequisite for the Six-Day Mentorship Intensive.

• Foundational brewing techniques
• How to establish a home tea practice
• Practical guidance for serving tea

LEVEL 2: The Mountain Way: Six-Day Mentorship

An intensive, hands-on training in the deeper fundamentals of tea. Over six days, students work with heat, water, proportion, timing, aesthetics, and service. The structure follows the mountain arc: Threshold, Entering the Veil, Ascent, Summit, Descent, Return. Each stage builds capacity through teaching, practice, and experimentation.

Daily Schedule:
9:30am–10:30am: Tea Ceremony
10:30am–11:30am: Theory
11:30am–12:30pm: Experiments
12:30pm–1:30pm: Lunch
1:30pm–4:30pm: Practical work serving tea

Group size: Maximum 9 participants
Format: Non-residential (accommodation and meals not included)

Prerequisite

Before attending the Six-Day Mentorship, you must complete one of the following:

Option 1: Online course 
Complete at your own pace before the mentorship begins.

Option 2: In-Person Immersion
Attend the one-day immersion held the Saturday before the mentorship, or any standalone immersion prior.

LEVEL 3: Apprenticeship (Application Only)

A three-month, one-on-one training program for advanced students who have completed the Six-Day Mentorship Intensive. The Apprenticeship offers deep, individualised study and hands-on practice serving tea at Cloud Hidden under the direct mentorship of Samuel Gibb.

Structure:

• One weekly session assisting Samuel in tea service
• One group ceremony per week with all current apprentices (maximum 3 total)
• One practice time in tea space per week

Duration: 3 months
Participants: Maximum 3 apprentices per intake
Prerequisite: Completion of the Six-Day Mentorship Intensive

Pricing:
Standard: $5,500
Early Commitment (apply and pay within 2 weeks of completing mentorship): $4,900

Payment options:
Full payment: $5,500
3-month plan: $1,900/month ($5,700 total)
