A listening event with IKSRE

IKSRE has been playing in this space for years. Through a lot of mornings before the doors open, and a lot of quiet afternoons.

On Saturday she brings her new album here and we listen to it together. In All Her Forms runs a full hour and is built around water: ice, river, cloud, rain, and back again. Strings, voice, synthesisers, and water recorded where it was found.

The album is released on 6 October. On Saturday morning it will be heard in full, in public, for the first time anywhere.

Phoebe will introduce the record. We will say a little about tea and music. Then the charcoal is lit and we drink something good while it plays the whole way through. A bell at the end, and everyone leaves in silence, as we always do. Phoebe will be in the foyer afterwards for anyone who wants to talk.

Saturday 19 September, 10am. Fifteen seats, $45.
